“I would love to live here” is the usual
sentiment when one visits Durango
Why I choose Durango:
>History that is rich with the "can
do attitude" with the miners of the late 1800's
>Great education system from grammar school through college
>Southwest weather at altitude: nice summers and livable winters
>A community that helps one another
>The new Mercy Medical Facility
>Mountain biking, hiking, and running trails that are fantastic
>Wildlife galore
>Views everywhere you go
>Restaurants that rival those in the "Big City"
>The Animas River that flows through the heart of town
>A vibrant downtown
>Skiing only 25 minutes away
>The enjoyment of life
I had been coming up to Durango from
Arizona for about 6 years for vacations. Gradually through the years, every trip my family and I took was to Durango. I finally decided that the old adage “Home
is Where the Heart is” was true and that I was going to follow
my heart.
